Quantifying placental vascularity by corrosion casting and micro-CT techniques

Scientific Case

The objective of this work is to study the differences in vascularity between FGR and normal placentas. Anatomical models of the vessels of some placentas have been made by corrosion casting and some more by CT imaging with contrast. We are proposing to analyse these data on the avizo software and also to do more micro-CT experiments using the MXIF scanner.
